Aaron King
University of Connecticut at Storrs UConn
Department:
English/Literature
Professors: Respond to evaluations by creating an account
The only reason a person could hate this class is if they didn't like the books (which change each semester) or Can't try. That's all it takes to get an A - just care about your grade and try. This course was excellent, I highly recommend Mr. King as the best English teacher I have ever had. His grading system is also the best and his comments on papers really helped me organize my writing. To most people, I highly recommend this course. However, to those who do not think writing beyond a high school level is ever required, there are plenty of loser English teachers to fill the requirement with, so go somewhere else and don't waste Mr. King's effort.

Mr.King comes off as very intimidating and his class may seem extremely difficult but you actually will end up with a decent grade and leave as a better writer.
Positive:
Is challenging
Brings discussion into the classroom
Is willing to help students anytime
Shows a great knowledge of subject matter
Involves students in every lecture
Comes to class organized
Negative:
Confusing or hard to understand
Expectations are unclear or lofty
Overly difficult tests or assignments
It is NOT true that the best grade possible is a C. I worked very hard in his class and I ended up with an A-. He is a very difficult teacher and if you are a student who is lazy and never up for a challenge, don't take his class.. just remain a bad writer with no drive. Stop bitchin' and just suck it up that it was probably your own fault for not working hard enough!

I graduated in '07 and had Professor King back in '03 at Uconn. Im a grad student now and im so happy I had him as my freshman english teacher...he is hard but he teaches you so much and makes you a better writer. He is always willing to help so if your grade sucks just go to his office hours so often that he gets sick of you and gives you an A haha
