Even though I only had him for a Short Story course, he is the man. He uses open discussion about the stories which clearly cover whatever you need to know for a quiz. The class is easy as long as you go to it and read the stories, and the guy is approachable and funny, even though it's kind of in an awkward way.

If you are looking for a teacher to teach you how to imporve in your creative wrting style this is the teacher for you. He is the first teacher I ever had that I felt like i could talk to like another person rather than an authoratarian head of the classroom. I took his creative writing 146 class. It was probably the best class i have taken in my life! He is a nice, quirky guy and really knows how to give good honest feeback wihtout being condescending about it. He also teaches the skills of how to look at your own story and see what is good and bad about it. This class is graded basically on effort. If you go to classes, hand in assignments, and try to make constructive changes on assignments you are bound to get a good grade. Take this class if you like to write! It will really help you!
