Abu Fashihuddin

A very good professor. Keeps lectures interesting. Material is extremely tough, but he makes it clear and concise. Has review sessions before each exam to go over step by step what you need to know. Excellent guy.

I had him as my lab instructor a few years ago. He didn't do a very good job explaining things, so you had to figure it out on your own. Otherwise he's a very nice guy, and fun to talk with.

Abu teaches at such a fast pace that it's really difficult to keep up. He seems like a nice enough guy, but I think he needs to learn how to teach physics to a class of people who are not good at the subject. Basically he should slow down and stick to the upper level classes where the students actually care about the subject. His exams are OK, you get to bring a 3x5 notecard with whatever you want on it which is really helpful. Overall, don't take physics with him if you aren't good at science or math. And to the post a few below this one, "stuffs like that" and "it's like, you know" are right on target, but you forgot to mention the snorting back of snot that he does every 2 minutes with some pauses to swallow whatever he's accumulated in his throat.

His exams are unecessarily difficult....I got an A in this class, but his exams are way harder than the homeworks, way harder.

Overall, Abu is a pretty good professor. But he can become boring at times, but kind of makes up for it by being extremely easy to make fun of, as he constantly says "stuffs like that" and "you know like" and makes really weird hand gestures. His quizzes and exams are not overly difficult and if you come to class and do the assignments you should do okay. And another thing that sucks about him is you get a formula sheet for the exams, but you have to memorize the formulas for the quizzes, which is complete bs.
