This class isn't that bad at all....just go to discussion because the TA"s go over everything that he said in lecture. He basically spells out every argument you go over and for the two exams all you really need to know are the slides. The only thing is when you ask a question it takes him 20 minutes to answer it because he will make stupid jokes...overall not too bad for a gen ed

Positive:

Has enthusiasm in the classroom

Comes to class organized

Negative:

Poor sense of humor

I don't know how people rated that his tests were too difficult...its philosophy 101 aka the lowest one you can take. Before the exams he pretty much told you what to expect for essays and there were 7 choices and you had to choose one. He was really funny and friendly outside of class. I never read, I just went to class and discussion and reread my notes before the exams and I ended up with and A. If you're looking to take a philosophy just for a gen ed definitely take this. If you genuinely like philosophy, i wouldnt recommend him just because theres really no individual thinking...the exams are just based on memory. As long as you know the problem and objections and can repeat it, you'll get an A
