She's a good teacher. I hope she gets tenure. And you all need to stop hating. Maybe if you actually went to the lectures rather than attending a few, you'd understand how valuable she is. Not that I'm a perfect student. But I wouldn't slam a teacher that I obviously know nothing about.

She is extremely intelligent and nice. If the subject matter weren't horrible, I'd completely love the class. As far as teachers go, she's by far one of the better ones i've had at U of I>

Those who believe she is an evil demon from hell apparently never went to talk with her. True she is a little unorganized, but her vast knowledge of pretty much anything I think outweighs that. In addition, she truly cares for her students and is not there to screw you over. She is always there to help, and passing on knowledge is one of her true gifts.

I think prof pittenger has some lofty ideals and some knowledge but one does need to be able to present said knowledge in some organized manner! She seems frenetic and scattered most often. Take that added to late arrivals and very much a shoot from the hip style makes her a sad teacher. Lock her away please and for god sake don't tenure her!!!
