He's a great guy, but sometimes it was a little too obvious that he had put together the lecture/discussion points all of ten minutes before class. On a few occasions, he looked up extra material to help us through the readings, but for the most part, it was just a mix of his thoughts and ours. Nothing wrong with that; it just leaves a lot out.

Shawn takes his teaching seriously, unlike a lot of other grad students. But his discussions can be pretty funny and interested. He's a little too easily distracted by pop culture. Oh, and he needs to cut his hair, wear better clothes, and lose that sad little goatee. But he's still pretty cool.
