Jim Alfano
University of Nebraska at Lincoln
Department:
Biology
Professors: Respond to evaluations by creating an account
Alfano is the man! By far, one of my favorite professors! If you study his notes, and memorize the small points that he's made, you should be fine in this class. It's not easy, but it's not overly challenging. And, he's a very cool guy. Super nice, and good at explaining things. Sit in the front, too....it helps if he knows you.
I learned a lot and thought it was a good class. The professor always was available through email, office hours, or on the blackboard website.
Positive:
Good professor.
I would recommend this professor
Is interesting/entertaining/funny
Has enthusiasm in the classroom
Comes to class organized
Negative:
This professor is just plain unchallenging and bland. His handwriting is barely legible, he's quite sarcastic sometimes, and his "regurgitating information" style makes the class quite bland, in my opinion.

Is willing to help students anytime
Has enthusiasm in the classroom
Comes to class organized
Negative:
Is a bad professor
Would not recommend this professor
Notes/lecture is confusing
Does not make class challenging enough
Worst professors I've ever had!
