John Ballard

You can't help but like Dr. Ballard. His lectures are boring and usually not very helpful. Test review day is usually helpful because we do a lot of examples. His tests are open note/open book and I would have failed the class if they weren't.

Although boring in class, he is a very friendly guy outside of the classroom... Tests are not too hard with a little studying

like one of the other comments, this dude tries to show his superiority. He's infact one the graduates who can't get a job anywhere else so he ended up teaching at UNL all his life. He doesn't tell you anything about how to find a job. If he does say something, we probably already know it. He'll make fun of your answers any way possible, even if they are the best ones. The class is extremely easy though, but overall useless.

Unfortunately, for any student entering UNL for engineering, you will have to take the freshman engineering seminar with Dean ballard and the assistant dean, ann cooper. They take the class way too seriously and make it boring as hell. Thankfully, it doesnt last the whole semester. Ballard is arrogant and lets you know he is superior to you (in his mind). The brown noser was probably on his knees for a while before becoming dean. Its an easy course, but dont skip class.

Don't even bother asking this sexist guy for help unless you have a set of tits. He won't give any guy the time of day. But if you are a girl he'd get you a diploma without ever making you set foot inside a classroom.
