The other comments made on Dr. Akpan are totally false. He is very knowledgeable and informed on issues in Africa and is an expert in international development. I assume the other people taking Hist 150 were not particularly interested in Africa and were looking for an easy grade. The tests are rather easy and not much is damanded from the students. If you have problems understanding his English just talk to him later after class or get a seat up front away from all the losers who listen to their mp3s and don't care in the back. If you're at all interested in current issues in Africa especially anything to do with development, I would highly recommend professor Akpan.

Tests were easy, class was pointless, had no reason to ever go to class.

Sooooo Boooooooooooring. Stands up in front of class and reads verbatim out of the book. For a guy From Africa, you'd think he'd have some insight or personal stories... Nope. Just reads out of the book in a hard-to-understand accent.
