Dr. Adkin is an intelligent, interesting man. Has a vast wealth of knowledge and encourages his students to enjoy what they're learning in his class. Though his egostistical and sometimes perverse sense of humor can put students off at first, his classes are always hilarious and entertaining. I've taken two courses from him, both of which I'd reccommend. Very easy grader, but you'll get a lot more than an A out of his class if you're motivated...I'm now working on a classics minor!

This guy is awesome!! He is so smart and UNL so so very lucky to have him here. He has written over 20 books and knows 5 languages. But he knows how to teach! Excellent approach. Laid back with a sense of humor. Grades eaiser than most latin profs. Very interesting man and interesting class, it is a joy to come to. No oral tests, just simple daily quizs, midterm and final. All easy with some studing.

He might be insane, but is by far the easiest teacher I have ever had.
