William Avery

His class would have been fun had it not been for his extreme liberal bias. Just a warning: He HATES Catholics, and if he finds out you are one, you will have to endure many lectures about how the church is trying to bring down the Latin-American government system. He's really into conspiracy theories as well, and hates President Bush, so if you like accurate facts and have any affection whatsoever for conservative views, this is not the class for you. Plus, he picks favorites in his class very quickly...and if you aren't one, you're screwed.

Dr. Avery gives interesting lectures, is very organized, posts all notes on blackboard and is clear about course requirements. His tests are not overly difficult and rarely draw on reading assignments. If you are intersted in the topic of the course his class is definately worth taking.

Most of the comments on Avery are bogus. Yes he is very liberal, however, that should not discredit him. His knowledge is very good and he is a good teacher.

Absurd I tell you! The previous comments are proposterous. Dr. Avery is a good political science professor. His lectures concerned an analysis of political phenomenon, whilst also maintaining an economic analysis. It was truly a most enjoyable course and pay attention, most often you will here some pretty profound statements.

Mr. Avery has his own version of political history/history in general. He is intolerant of other's views, and has his mind made up about what should be taught. He lacks integrity and academic honesty. In short, he is out to socially engineer you to his liking. His Poli-Sci class is all his viewpoint, and that is laughable at best... he didn't even know what branch of the military a big-time Presidential candidate retired from... I am being nice in my words.
