Adam Tarr

Ive got to stick up for this guy, I had him this spring semester of 2003 for CAC. Got half the class to leave the first day by saying that he was the hardest CAC teacher of them all. Dropped the class size down and got rid of the dumbphucks. Over the couse he challenged us with 1000+ pages of reading and lots of in class discussions. Very hard and involved but worth it if your there to learn. I mean it is college and all.

wow reading the other students comments i new he brought controversy into our class and even in the dorms after class people would argue about him and his class but i had no idea people got so upset! maybe hearing about the TERRIBLE stuff that we had no idea about before is too much for some kids but it seems like the ones ******** the most were the ones who are here to party and dont give damn about learning anything especially stuff that makes them uncomfortable. his reading load is SO HEAVY and HARD but being latina i'm glad someone (even a white guy) tells the truth even if it pisses off the lazy ******** here at wsu...adam is a bad-*** teacher!

Adam was one of my favorite profs but i can defiantly see why some students wouldnt like his class - its very hard and he doesn't seem to care if you like him or not. I loved how challenging the class was and how he respected me by expecting more. he defiantly can upset people in class who are ignorant or lazy. and when he plays devil's advocate in class he can make you insane b/c he always has another question for you no matter what. he always gave me tons of help outside of class, so i think shy/lazy students don't try and then blame him. he intimidated people b/c he's really smart, and demanding, plus he's hot!

I had this guy this semester. His class was one of the hardest classes I've ever taken, and slackers, mostly Greeks, were always bitching about him being so hard, but they were too lazy to do the homework, of which there was a lot of it, and it was hard. That class was really challenging and controversial and he seemed to be more interested in other things than making frat guys and sorority girls feel good about their stupid, lazy asses. I'm glad he pissed them off cause they always pissed me off in class.

He is one of those teachers who when you leave him class you find yourself said "I hate him, I hate that class... I HATE him!" He is best described as an egotistical, stubborn, red headed devil. I put in hours and hours and hours every week for that class adn barely squeeked by with a B. Not a single A was given. THis was not done beucause no one deserved it, but because I believe he was trying to prove a point. Some point... I absolutely despise him. He also made many inapporpriate jokes about his girlfriend... he received no laughs from the peanut gallery. It was all that I could do to get through class without jumping up and strangling him. His plans are to go to law school and I hope he never makes it.
