My biggest complaint with Amy is that she was moody and let personal problems effect patience with the class. The overly difficult exams were given to all the 230 classes to that is not all her fault. She should of prepared us better and also should move slower in the lecture.

Positive:

Is challenging

Brings discussion into the classroom

Is willing to help students anytime

Shows a great knowledge of subject matter

Involves students in every lecture

Negative:

Would not recommend this professor

Confusing or hard to understand

Overly difficult tests or assignments

Makes class too challenging

Poor sense of humor

Amy tends to be very moody and makes these moods known to everyone in class. Our midterm average was a 50%. Additionally, after saying that the practice test would be sufficient for knowing the exam material, she tells us today that it would be sufficient for getting a C on the exam - good job, lady - go back to being an accountant

Positive:

Negative:

Is a bad professor

Would not recommend this professor

Confusing or hard to understand

Expectations are unclear or lofty

Overly difficult tests or assignments

Notes/lecture is confusing

Needs to involve students in class discussions

Makes class too challenging

Poor sense of humor

Amy Alward is horrible! I'm sitting in my acctg 230 class right now, after 90 percent of my 125 person class flunked the first exam. Her reaction? You should have studied harder! She justifies it by saying 20 years ago the average was 70%. Not a good professor! DO NOT TAKE HER! Take Debra Seifert or Al Frakes! The goal of the exams, are to make the average score 50%, that is failing!!

Worst professors I've ever had!
