Anyone that gives Mr. Appleton a poor rating obviously received a poor grade in his class. Appleton is by far one of the more interesting/entertaining professors at WSU. He deviates from his lesson plan often in order to incorporate current events or students thoughts and ideas. Aside from Michael Infranco, he is the most approachable teacher in the political science department.

Although I enjoyed his class, he's stand-offish and distant to your personal questions. Rude sometimes to questions asked in class.

I think that Andrew Appleton is a great professor who is very intellegent. He can get off of the topic, but that is part of his charm. I just wish he could get that one asshole in the back of the class to shut the Hell up. Body language isn't enough. I don't think that this student (and others to come) will pick up on his British politeness thinly masking his exhasperation or frustration. I just wish he would put mannerisms aside and put this ranting self-vindicating pseudo-intellectual narcissist in his place!!! I really wish that he would take more control over the class discussions because the class is too big and the discussions just turn into a recitation of pre scribed party line bullshit and aren't productive.
