She is very interesting. She has her opinions, but loves to hear and discuss yours. Has such interesting stories and experiences. If you take good notes and understand them, you'll breeze through the exams, they're tricky but not if you understand the concepts. She gives Extra Credit by you summarizing what the weekly readings are about. Very interesting to learn from. I loved the ideas and concepts presented. Note: she is pretty feminist.
Positive:
Good professor.
Shows a great knowledge of subject matter
Comes to class organized
Negative:
This was a great class, I wish she taught more so I could take another class from her. She inspired me to add an Anthro. minor. Great if you have an interest in culture or women's studies, otherwise maybe not so much.

Worst professors I've ever had!
There are no comments positive or negative that really seem to fit what I want to say. This class requires a lot of reading, we went through a whole 500+ pages in this class (SPRING 2003). Overall this class was pretty easy, extra credit was offered adding up to at least 5% of the total grade. Besides the reading there is a lot of writing on the reading. IF you can get through this, the class should be a breeze. If you have taken sociology or biology, this could help with your general understanding, otherwise this mainly focuses on looking at particular cultures in their own terms (cultural context). No prior knowledge is necessary to take this class though. If your looking for a 3 credit class and like reading and writing this is the perfect class for you. Either you like the class or you dont.
