Prof. Hughes is entertaining and does well when it comes to involving his students, but his expectations are often unclear and his lectures difficult to follow. Getting a good grade in his class is not difficult if you can hold your own in writing, but finding the motivation to attend his class is sometimes difficult.

i thought hughes was a cool prof. he is entertaining and is very intelligent. i would take another one of his classes. if you can write a decent paper you'll do fine.

This man is strange. Flat out. Talks a lot about his personal life which is funny. Tells funny stories. Talks a lot about drugs, which I think he did back in the 60's and 70's. Knows a lot about literature and is dying to share it. Class was always entertaining.
