Try not to take him for Chem 240. He's very old and hard to understand. His "quizzes" are straight off his review sheets, but he likes to mess with them so beware. It is very hard to get help with this course since he is always in his lab and the TAs are not helpful at all. The lab is probably the worst part just because the TAs don't want to be there and are very unwilling to help with any questions. If you do take this course make sure you form a study group and go to any of the peer tutoring sessions SALC puts on. It is a very time demanding course since there are tests every 2 weeks.
Knows a tremendous amount of achiral synthesis. The material is outstandingly important to being a good synthetic chemist. His stuff works in the lab.
