This professor makes you work but is always willing and wanting to help you outside of class. She is one of the only professors I've had that actually cares about you as a person and wants you to do well not just in her class but also in your other classes. She's makes you really think both inside and outside of the classroom.

Lori is an excellent professor to teach LGBT Studies. She is funny in the classroom and laidback, but not so much that anything can be said (and if you piss her off, she'll let you know). She does some historical stuff that can be hard to understand, but it is helpful in the end. She expects a lot out of you, and there is whole lot of reading, but she pushes you to understand how racism, classism, and sexism are intertwined with LGBT issues.

One of the best classes I have ever taken. She has opened my mind and thinking so much. She does a good job of focusing on race, class, gender and sexuality throughout the class, but be prepared to read!
