Mauricio Featherman

A true, genuine soul-sucking person if there ever was one, Featherman can take a weak subject(in my case, "E-Commerce and the Internet", a truly bastardized subject if there ever was one) and drain any sort of interest or learning value that could be gained from it. He'll lecture for weeks on a single acronym that is covered in a single paragraph of one of the dozens of articles he prints out for the class. These articles are irrelevant too, so no one would read them, leading him to start offering pop quizes on them. Brilliant. Exams are just as bad, as he will include entire SECTIONS of material in review sessions and study guides, saying "This material WILL be on the exam," and then he'll LEAVE IT OFF THE EXAM! At the same time, study guides will include material never even mentioned, and because of his complete incompetance and indifference it becomes the student's duty to decipher which sections can be skipped. All this combines with a personality similar to low-charisma granite, life-drainingly dull and meaningless lectures, and absolutely brutal exams. In 4 years of college life at WSU, I can safely say that he is the WORST instructor I have ever had, and probably ever WILL have.

I hate programming and this class made me hate it more.

This professor does not know any shit about the material and he is a lazy dude.

Although I spend most of my semester studying for this particluar class, I found in the end that I had learned a lot. Featherman expects a great deal from his students and I see nothing wrong with this. He is also very willing to help students in and out of the classrooms. I have found him to genuinely interested in his students and think this is a rair trait for a college professor. But, if you don't want to work hard to get a good grade then this isn't the professor you want to take the class from.
