Melanie Austin
Washington State University - Main Campus
Department:
English/Literature
Professors: Respond to evaluations by creating an account
Melanie means well, but she often appears to off in her own world. Her due dates for assignments often changed and not much got accomplished during class time. But, she is pretty good about allowing students to turn in corrected papers - which is good.
Kept wanting me to change a paper until it matched her opinion on the subject. She argued with a foreign student over the meaning of a word in that student's native language. The class called her ethnocentric and she freaked out. Avoid this teacher like you would a vasectomy at a night carnival.

Confusing or hard to understand
She tries, but she really didn't seem to know what she was doing, nor did she spend much time giving useful lectures. She spends too much time making her students watch boring, useless movies.
