Michele Wallace

Some people are not worthy to enter the classroom... and you girls are it. It saddens me that some choose to show their lack of education in this way. I had Michele twice: once in 107 and once in 251. She states flat out that if you do not agree with anything in her syllabus, to LEAVE. I cannot believe you girls decided to stay and fail when she clearly outlined everything she expected at the start of the semester. Michele gave great, relevant exams, and had awesome peer leading experiences in which groups from the class lead an activity. The study guides were posted and available to everyone. The answers to homework were posted and available to students; they were also good study guides. I honestly cannot fathom Michele being the type of teacher you would claim her as. Anytime I went to her office, she was there, I was able to call her office several times, and even called during an exam once. Anytime I asked, Michele was able to give me an update of my grade. I have a solid A, and cannot see how you can claim that no one gets above an 80% on an exam. The fact that I have an A belies your claim. Check your facts kids. I have now had her twice, and thoroughly enjoyed this semester. If anyone wants a challenging and fun class, is willing to follow simple directions, and wants a career in education, this is a good prof to take Math 251 with.

I had this class last semester (Fall 2004), and I liked Michele. I read the comments from those other girls. I was in class with them. A snotty group of friends that made the class difficult for others to stand. Michele didn't say that she didn't want to teach that class by the way. She said that she had never taught an ed class before and may not be able to answer questions about elementary school kids in general, but the math is what she can do and that the math dept said it was a math class, so they gave her the class to teach. It wasn't a difficult class. Michele did not try to make us fail. The tests weren't too bad if you studied a little. It is elementary math for goodness sake! AND WE GOT STUDY GUIDES! Not like now in 252! Consider the source when reading evals. Those girls just weren't that bright. And they were mean and snotty to others. No respect for anyone, even each other. They want to be teachers?

"i really don't want to be teaching this class, but theyre making me" is probably the first thing that came out of her mouth when class started. and this was indeed the beginning of a BAD semester. i should have left when i had a chance. michele does not even teach us from her own notes. a couple times in class she was fumbling around, confused with a problem, and was like " i can't read what whatshisname was writing". she does not always write the correct problems on the exams, and then gets mad at the students for doing them that way!! it is ridiulous. she marks students off like half the assignment for not properly rewriting the questions to the hmwk assignments, is never in her office hours, wont tell students their grade like its top secret information, gets mad if she asks a question and students try to answer... "it's very rude to talk when i am trying to". she makes no sense. she dresses like her stylist been stealing her wardrobe from the salvation army, and then bling-blings it up with all her crap so she feels like a super star, and heaven knows what shes hiding in her hair, but whatever it is.. there is no hope in ever saving it. this woman needs to get a grip on her meaningless life. she has bad social skills. also, is definately not professional, and should not be teaching at a university.........................................................................etc.......................................................................................................etc..................................................................etc.......................................................

Michele Wallace needs to be removed from the WSU teaching staff. Her teaching methods are hasty and unclear, and rarely does her practice/assignment material appear on her exams. She instead prefers to throw ambiguous material at her students so she can watch them squirm for an hour. In addition to this, she enjoys bullying her classes verbally, which will beat you down any leave you feeling hollow after every lecture. This professor needs to brush up on her student/teacher relationship, and should ease up on the material. Side note: for God's sake woman, stop wearing so much bling bling to class!

If you truly do not have a goal in life and want to fail, this is the perfect class. No matter how hard you try you will never get a good grade in her class. Not only does she make the tests ridiculously hard, but she doesn't even grade on a curve even though the highest score is usually lower than 80%. She needs to leave WSU and find some other people's lives to destroy.
