English/Literature
Professors: Respond to evaluations by creating an account
He compensates for having little material to teach by being very funny and likeable, and he's probably the most charismatic instructor I've had. However, he cancelled class at every opportunity and blew off a week watching a movie for no discernable reason. If you don't know what a memo is or have never written a resume, you might barely manage to learn something. Otherwise you'll just be killing time and brain cells -- I learned more in the first two weeks of any other English class past 101 than in an entire semester with him. A major frustration is that his humor gets in the way of assignments -- he'll give you all silly examples but want professional work. He's pretty inflexible and cannot accept that he's made mistakes, so any criticism (even constructive) will be a gradekiller.
Love the Pat Johnson comdy hour. Excuse me sir, I believe you have my stapler. -office space
