knows alot about what he talks about, but the requirement to turn in notes every class about every poem we read is nothing but busy work and doesn't really help me in this class. also the required papers are very vague on what he wants and his handouts which you have to purchase don't explain any better...i guess this is the only class he is teaching this semester, i would think he would bring more to the class since there is nothing else he is doing...only cool factor is the fact the he uses a mac for his presentations...
This guy could be a great professor if he really wanted to be. Readings were interesting, open revision policy on papers was good, but his negatives were at times too overwhelming. Seemed to think his class was everyone's top priority-wasted time of junior and senior students by insisting on having everyone type out study notes for each class, which was a mindless, useless busywork activity, the online postings would have been sufficient. Sometimes shut down student discussion by talking too much or by making strange comments on student ideas. Wined a lot about students, got mad if students missed any classes.

Confusing or hard to understand

This guy is a jerk in and out of the classroom. Even if you try your hardest to be nice to him, he will be sure to try to make you feel as stupid as possible. Oh, and he gives quizzes every single day.

The previous post is exactly right. This man is unbelievably full of himself. Anal, condescending, etc. See http://www.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/ and you'll know what I mean. My God, get over yourself already.
