Dr. Hines is a very understanding, laid back person, he has a good sense of humor, and above all, he knows his s#it. He is definately the best GenEd teacher (both 110 and 111) out there, and he doesn't give map quizzes. In short, Richard Hines transforms a boring, unnecessary class into a class worth taking.

Prf Hines is fabulous! He takes time out to get to know the students and he loves to talk about his family which is great. We really get to know him on a personal level. He's really laid back but you know he means business. His lectures are crammed with enough info to keep any history buff satisfied. He's always available for assistance. And that earring is adorable! ;-)

Very excellent teacher. I've had had only two teachers in my entire school career that show this breadth of knowledge and love of teaching. Take this guy. You won't regret it.
