Not a bad guy; just was hard to understand, and didnt seem as if we were being taught or being told

Dr. Swanson, really isnt a bad guy. I had him for college algebra, and i learned a lot but it wasnt a bitch either to do well. I would go do homework in the library with a group on Wednesday nights so i could go get fucked up Thursdays, and not have to worry about not having the homework done for Friday. Side note is the homework usually took two hours/a week. You have to keep a journal of checkpoint exercise in that class but it really isnt that bad, and i think it really helps you learn. He does tell bad jokes but it is just funny because he is the only one laughing, and he kind of lightens it up. I mean lets be honest math is boring, and Dr. Swanson spices it up just with his personality. Seriously, not a bad professor given eau claires shitty math professors.

He is not a totally bad teacher. Not a real cool or funny guy, but that isn't always a teaching requirement. Really bad jokes. Good teaching methods. He makes students write out a long 5-step method for word problems, which is a good idea, but really tiresome after a full semster. Some what challanging tests and homework only once a week. An OK professor in the long run.

have fun w/ this one. he isnt the worst prof ive ever had, but certainly isnt the best either. the exams kinda suck, the multiple choice are worth 4 points each. and his way of teaching can be pretty confusing. he does laugh a lot. sadly its when no one else is laughing. and as a side note, purple is his favorite color.
