Tests are easy they are all open book but trust me IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!

Catya is a wonderful teacher. Her enthusiasm and energy towards psychology are inspirational. She is always willing to help a student in need. She is compassionate, sensitive, funny, and intelligent. She offers a class that is both challenging and fun. If you think psych is a breeze, don't take her class. She has high expectations, but those expectations facilitate learning. I absoultely love her and wish she could teach all my classes.

She doesn't help you if you ask her one on one. Well she will, but she makes you feel like an idiot for not knowing every little thing about psychology and you leave her office feeling incompetent. If psych comes super easy for you, then take her and be challenged, but if you need a little extra help sometimes, she is not the prof to take.

Catya is only difficult if you don't read the material. Most students take psych as a "breeze" class and this is the wrong prof for that - but for psych students, she's great. She gets to know you one-on-one if you put the effort in.

Catya is not all bad. Yes, her tests are difficult, lots of assignments. You are glad the class is over at the end of the semester. BUT...she does take into consideration feedback from students, something unmatched by any other professor I've ever had. Her class does need to come with a WARNING label for 8am though, she is way too hyper. I know the class was not my easiest, but I think I get a lot more out of it. I mean, yeah I could have taken an easier teacher, but going through a harder course sometimes isn't all bad. Teaching is not an easy field, and I feel I will be more prepared for it because I have taken a more difficult professor.
