Not a cool teacher! I wasn't sure what to expect from his midterm so I studied hard core just to get the highest grade in the class (after the curve) which was a B+. I'm not sure how he curves, but it's not right. Don't plan on getting an A in this class...

First off calling a student stupid I think is just wrong, which makes him even more worthless as a professor. Also, if he wants to ge the students attention instead of yelling shut the hell up maybe he could be a little more calm and ask nicely. He is an ass and is harsh towards students.

What can I say about good ol' Dr. Perkins. For starters he drops your grade by 10% if you miss ONE class session...I'm serious, folks! He told us so...of course, he didn't tell us about this grading policy until halfway through the semester, and conveniently ommitted that little tidbit from the course syllabus at the beginning of the semester. And his hand signals while we're giving our speeches can be misleading. I swear, at one point he looked like he was about to begin picking his nose right in the middle of my persuasive topic speech! He is very unsympathetic to students, and blatantly said that he won't even excuse a student from class for a family member's funeral...then he proceeded to tell us how his own brother is dying yet he refuses to ever miss a day of work even in the event of his brother's future funeral. Too darwinian, and way out of his league.
