Here's the deal with the Schaef...... You have to be a buisness guy. you have to be interested in economics. He really tells your straight forward how it is. He doesn't go out of the book, he teaches from real life expeirence... Great teacher.... He laughs at his own lisp, its funny....

Prof. Schaefer is a brilliant man; however, he is too brilliant for his own good regarding teaching. He comes to class knowing exactly what he is going to teach, but he sloppily puts it on the board, and because of this his class becomes a 50 minute tangent in which he is in his own world. He is unorganized and the testing material is based on his lectures and hardly on the book. I attended all but 2 classes the whole semester and every day he wore the same outfit-navy T-shirt and khakis, which made for a funny time. He curves the hell out of his tests (a 47% became a C) but this is because his tests are too hard to begin with. He's a smart man, but needs to slow down and realize that we aren't as smart as he may expect us to be.

The class was a little boring but it was challenging and he or one of his TAs was always available to help when it was needed.
