Dr. Oyen is very knowledgeable about economics and seems to have a very solid background in the field. He is truly the best professor I've had so far at UW-Eau Claire.

Prof. Oyen is simple, concise, and discusses the information slowly which enables students to understand it easily. His tests are challenging enough to make you have to study a bit, and he doesn't curve them. You can throw out your lowest quiz score, however, which helps. But he's better than just about anyone else in the whole department, at least for microeconomics.

He is a phenominal professor. He really enjoys economics and teaching students. I would recommend him to anyone taking econ at Eau Claire.

Oyen rocks! He makes econ so easy to understand and his grading is fair. Take advantage of the extra credit though!
