what the person above said about handing papers back is true! this is her one downfall..I also did not get papers back..but jan is so awesome!! she is so funny! i looked forward to going to class everyday because she was so entertaing! she loves what she teaches and it show. i did not find anything about her class difficult..she is very resonable and understanding...Jan you are awesome!

Mrs. Jan Stirm is by far the worst professor I have ever had. If you expect to get your papers back within a month of when she promises them, I wouldn't recommend her. 2nd semester of 2004 school year we turned in our final papers a week before grades were due. She got our grades reported on time, however 3 weeks later I asked her for my paper and she claimed they weren't done....awesome! If you want to take a class with a bullshit grading scale and a bullshit teacher, Take Mrs. Jan Stirm!! P.S. We still haven't recieved our final papers back...

Jan is hysterical if you're willing to accept her sense of humor. She has incredible knowledge of literature, especially of Shakespeare. If you're one of those people who need to have papers back the day after you hand them in, however...she's probably not for you.
