I can't believe she is certified and getting paid to "teach" at a university. She does not encourage class discussion and if you say something in class that she disagrees with her nostrils flare. She will forever hold a personal grudge against you if she detests anything about you. I think she has personal problems and takes them out on her poor unfortunate students. Horrible! Horrible! Do not take her unless you want to jeaprodize your GPA.

Absolutly horrible, changes assignments around constantly while you're working on them. Grades on politics and just plain doesn't like boys. Stay far away. I've recommended people take an 8 am with another professor just to get away from her.

this teacher is a nice person if you go one on one with her but in class she's a total itch!! She gets mad when no one participates and doesn't relate to english.

For a self-professed feminist, Karen Welch is one of the most gender-biased women I have ever met. She would only answer the boys questions, and refuse to help the girls. Our whole class was talking about complaining to the dean. She is completely unreasonable with grades, and refuses to help students with any questions. Avoid this profesesor like the plague!

Anyone who doesn't like Welch is flat out lazy and shouldn't be in college. She really works hard at getting to know students and puts in extra time with anyone who asks. She is very easy if you come to her meetings and have any ability in English.
