Dr. Wiegel is phenomenal! I ended up withdrawing from the course because tests were hard, so when he says study, STUDY! He has a great sense of humor, loves talking with students, and is one of the few people that can keep you awake at 8 am! He actually made Organic chemistry interesting! TAKE HIM IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE!!!

Ochem 2 is so much harder than Ochem 1...I hate the class. Even though the class is hard as hell and I'm doing terrible (along with over half of the class) I think that Wiegel is a pretty good teacher. I really enjoy his sense of humor, although it might offend some people. I definately enjoy his random singing of Broadway tunes. Ochem is going to be a bitch no matter who you have. Deal with it.

Wiegel is honestly one of the worst professors I've ever had in all my 4 years of college! He is very hard to approach, doesn't care about how well his students do, and is extremely arrogant, overdramatic, loud, and rude. He also never responds back to emails. I know O-chem is suppose to be challenging, and I'm working hard in it (I'm getting a B+ w/out the curve), so I'm not doing bad, but I honestly think he wants to confuse his students and he gets enjoyment when they do bad. As a warning, DO NOT take him!!

Prof. Wiegel is a one of the most interesting professors you'll get. Anyone who can keep me awake at 8am is a good professor. He's a little intimidating to approach, but he has good intentions.

not willing to help his students...very ego oriented, class is impossible with him as a teacher...do not take him
