She is a terrible professor in every sense of the word. She definitely plays favorites and is incredibly contradictory. Be willing to work in this class for your A- or B+. Even if every successive speech gets better, your grade will either stay the same or decrease on each speech. Take ANYONE but her!!!!

You have to do everything her way in order to recieve a good grade. If she makes a suggestion about your speech such as using a video you had better use the video or she will give you a lower grade.

Unless she's changed, she is horribly contradictory and plays favorites. I still ending up getting a A or B+ (can't remember which for sure) in the class, but I had to really work for it. If you follow her advice that she gives you for one speech, the next time she will criticize you for doing just that- for example, if she tells you to rely on notes less, and the next speech you don't rely on your notes as much, she'll tell you it's too memorized. Take someone else if you can.
