Who are these silly people who think Max is boring? I will say that it is never terribly clear where you are at grade wise just from the things that are handed back, but the classes Max teaches are not right or wrong classes. Your grade is as much in your hands as it is in his and he is eminently reasonable and pleasant to talk to. His humor is subtle and dry - he's a quietly funny man. His expectations are made clear at the beginning of the term and are not harped on continuously. I don't think his classes are easy, but easy is not the point of a university education. Everyone should take his classes and read his poems!!

It was an alright class but REALLY boring to sit through for an hour and 15 minutes. I got a B- with pretty little effort.

I am really liking his class I just wished he would give out an A every once in a while.
