Dr. Kettler is not as bad as a professor as everyone is making her out to be. She does expect a lot, but it is a four credit class, and one of the hardest classes at the university no matter which professor you take it under. I have had her for Anat and Phys I and II and have done fine in both of those. True, you do have to put work into the class, but it is a large amount of material to learn so that is to be expected. I learned a lot from these classes. The tests are not overly difficult- the multiple choice ones are average in difficulty and you know what to expect on lab exams. If you didn't study or put enough effort into the course, don't blame the professor, which seems to be what's happening here.

Kettler does not understand her students at all! Her notes are all over the place, and her tests are supper difficult. You need to be able to teach yourself a majority of the stuff.

Do not take Kettler unless you can teach yourself the material. She provides copies of the pictures from the textbook but her lectures have no structure. She doesn't have a clear set of objectives and it is almost impossible to take notes. She writes random things on the chalkboard but they don't make any sense. I was a senior back when I took her and she was, I think, one of the worst profs I've ever had. Please don't take her!!!

Dr. Kettler is far removed from reality. She is incapable of writing her own exams, therefore will not narrow the field for the student-she says "you are responsible for everything in the book, lab manual and notes". This can mean knowing up to 600 pages for an exam! She won't define the scope of the exams so she can cover her own you-know-what when she uses someone elses test questions!
