Professors: Respond to evaluations by creating an account
I don't know if it's just because he's new to the CS dept and approaches the material from a completely different perspective, or if he really IS the crappiest professor ever. I said he's creative, above, because when he gets to a portion of his lecture material that he himself doesn't understand, he just makes up bogus crap and gets visibly upset when people catch him doing it. One time he tried to make us do a problem despite the fact that he had determined that the book's explanation was wrong, the Teacher's Manual solution was wrong, and that eventhough he'd spent 3 hours doing it, he didn't know what the correct answer was...you read that right: because he'd wasted his time, he wanted us to waste ours. Also, for CS students who aren't accustomed to the grade-school mentality of the MIS dept., read the syllabus carefully! Attendance is MANDATORY.

Negative:
The class is beyond boring. Attendance is mandatory so try not to take it at 8am or you'll probably fall asleep. He drones on all hour about God knows what. Unless you're a computer genius you probably don't know or care what he's talking about. Not that it matters since the tests and quizzes all come out of the book and not from lecture anyways.
Positive:
Shows a great knowledge of subject matter
Negative:
Professor is boring or bland
Doesn't cover the material that's on tests in class. The material on the tests comes straight from the book. So it's required that you read the book. But attendance is mandatory. Why? I don't know. If you can get everything you need to know from the text, why do you have to show up to class? His lectures drag on and on and he goes off into his own little world while you sit there and fall asleep. Assignments are easy, but what you do in the assignments isn't on the tests either. Yeah, it makes no sense

Shows a great knowledge of subject matter
