Seems like a slack class at first, which is cool cause he doesn't ever lecture and you never do anything in class. But his tests are hard as hell and suck a lot. so if you're good at picking every little detail out of a 40 page chapter, then take this class. otherwise stay clear.

ok, tomlinson is a nice guy and does want us to do well...but he gives so much reading for exams and then does NOT talk about it at all in class...the tests are difficult and the essays were too toughly graded considering we didn't discuss anything that was on the tests in class...honestly you don't neeed to even go to lecture to pass this class..just read the text...

Sometimes you didn't really know where you stood gradewise and the tests are tough. Tomlinson is an enjoyable professor.

Many people told me his was a bad professor. I don't think he is that bad though. His tests were somewhat difficult, but I have definately had worse. Overall, he is a nice guy and wants his students to do well if they are willing to work for it.

Prof Tomlinson's lecture style takes some getting used to but once you can pick out the key points he is easy to understand. I will always carry with me the first thing he said to my class, "If anyone ever tells you they will teach you how to teach, run. No one can teach teaching."
