Rula Kemp

I thought she was one of the best professors I have ever had. She is the reason I went from hating econ to making it my minor. She has a lot of knowledge on her subject and tries sometimes to cram much of it in at one time but is always available to help. I took her as a night class so we never had any homework and only had to worry about a weekly 10 point quiz that was easy if you even paid a little attention the week before ...A+!

Mrs. Kemp may not be the best professor in the world. She isn't the best at explaning every concept but tries hard and usually does a pretty good job. She wants you to do well and will help anyone if they have a problem. If you work hard and let her know youre interested you should end up with a pretty decent grade.

she gives out Extra Credit for participating, but not to everyone, the worth of your participation is based on her discrescion. She is extremely tough. Tough enough to scare away potential Econ majors. She knows the subject so well that at times she gets her information jumbled. It can be very confusing. She gave out take home tests a few times and even if you got the right answer and put a decent explanation on it she would deduct points if you didn't have exactly what her reasoning was. Even after going in and talking to her i was still confused. Almost our entire class went into the final with Cs and Ds and Fs. The class avg. before the final was a D!!! HORRIBLE PROF!!!

Rula Kemp has an extremely challenging class. Her tests are rediculously hard and many students go into the final with D's and C's. The one good part is that she gives points for extra credit for participating in class. She definately knows her stuff. The nice thing is that even while you think you are failing the whole semester, she somehow curves things at the end to bring you to an A, B, or C depending on how involved you were in the class.
