Dr. Tong is a very motivational and encouraging professor. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the class. She is a great example of how anyone can succeed, even a woman math professor, in the United States. She's also very motivational. She ALWAYS reviews the homework and the exam. She is very clear on what to study for, and conducts regular review sessions. Another cool thing about her is that she gives extra credit for students to guest teach segments of the class. She also promotes group study, as well as group quizes. She gets an A+ in my book. The rest of you are a bunch of lazy whiners!

This professor is one of the worst professors I've ever had. Besides the fact that she poorly speaks English, thus making it very hard to understand her, she has no teaching skills. She will help you on your homework but do not expect her to explain you how to do it yourself. Oh, and one more thing, she will humiliate you in front of the whole class many times during a semester (for eating or drinking in the class, doing poorly on HW or tests and etc.) Just a warning because I've seen several students dropping a class because of this fact. Just be aware.

Even when you can understand what she is saying, her teaching style is so haphazard you won't know what's going on.
