Brad is honestly one of the most amazing people you will ever meet. He will always be high-energy for class, and he tries to make things fun for students. He isn't going to hand you an A on a gold platter, you do have to work for it. But, really, if you go to class every day and look at the bold terms in the book, you'll get a good grade. His projects take some work and thought, but they help you in the long run. Another thing you'll love about Brad is that he returns grades almost immediately. He offers extra credit, and it's your own fault if you don't do it! He knows so much, and loves his profession. Even when he is side-tracked, you learn something. And that's what we're all paying for, isn't it?

So I had Brad for Child Development and Exceptional Child. He can come off as a bit arrogant and cocky, and likes to point out that he knows a lot, and he is a good test writer, and this and that. He gets the fake sarcastic laugh when he talks about people and thinks they are doing something wrong, and he knows a better way to do it. He does inflate his own ego a bit. But even those aren't enough to take away what a good professor he really is. He meets everyone in the beginning of the year, at the start of class, and if you talk to him now and again, he'll remember your name. He does know a great deal about a lot of various things. His handwriting is sloppy (have his class and you'll hear why) but not impossible to decipher. Doesn't do attendance, but he divides his tests into stuff from the lecture and stuff from the book, and you can't rely on just one or the other. If he provides a study guide, USE IT, they are pretty helpful. He's also funny, and has some funny stories to add to lectures once and awhile, or his own two cents. Oh, and I hate 8:00 classes, but I've had two with him, and they are they ONLY two 8:00 classes that I've had (and unfortuately I've had several) where I have NEVER fallen asleep, he keeps you awake. Overall, good professor, so don't worry if you HAVE to take him, you'll be happy.

Sometimes he gets side tracked in class and you can become easily confused.

Absolutely fantastic professor. It was my 8am and I didn't really mind it. He made an effort to know my name, he made class really interesting, and you could really tell he knew his stuff and absolutely loved it. Granted, it was no easy class, and definitely not an easy A, but I almost prefer it that way, actually. I worked hard and got a decent grade. It felt really worth it. If you take him, go to class, trust me, he's interesting and will keep your attention. He doesn't take attendance, but missing class isn't such a great idea. Great guy, great enthusiasm, and he makes it interesting. He has my vote. Sign up for his class!
