She expects everyone to be a music major that takes music 100. She often goes off on her one little lines and gets mad if people have no clue what she's talking about. She loves what she's teaching, but is really really boring. You do not need to pay attention at all in her class, just be there on the days when she covers the study guides and the tests will be easy. Make sure you drink lots of coffee before this class or else you will fall asleep! however, she is an easy grader and as long as you study, her tests are easy. She also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities to help her students do well.

Well, she definitly does show a love for music but expects way way too much. She teaches the course like everyone is a music major and loves music just as much as she does. She is very nice though but just makes her tests too hard and expects way to much. Very nice lady though...

This professor is very knowledgeable about music. She helped me and others learn some very difficult concepts. She is awesome at helping you improve your piano-playing. I could see how someone would think she was tough but piano takes a lot of practice and isn't something you can just waltz into. I was glad she was tough with me because that's what it took to make me learn. I would definitely take her again.

She is scatterbrained and boring. I didn't listen or take notes for the whole semester. She gives study guides before each test and she gives you the answers to the study guide. If you memorize the study guide you will do fine on the test. It is also extremely difficult to stay awake and she is kind of nuts. I do not recommend her.

I do not like Britton at all as a professor. I think that her tests are hard unless you're a music major. She is boring, and I hear that other music professors are much easier and entertaining.
