She is a very serious woman and has had a hard life I heard. Shes kind of no nonsense and picks favorites but she pushes you and she knows when you are slacking and she will grade u accordingly. If you listen and take good notes and do what she tells you you will do fine but she is no easy A its tough.

Bustamante is a great teacher. Her classes are by no means easy, but if you put in the time and effort, you will do well. Class participation is very important, and when she posts study guides for the tests, do them! It will help you immensely. Also, always do the homework because you never know when she will collect it. I've heard a lot of people say they don't like her, but if you do what you're supposed to do for her class, you will like her and she will like you. She also can be very funny if you notice when she is being sarcastic. Since she is a native speaker, I've learned a lot from her. She is also willing to ask the students for help with her English skills! AWESOME TEACHER!!!

She ssems very intimidating and unapproachable-but its not true! Don't be scared to talk to her after class or to ask for help.
