Colleen Callahan

Colleen does a great job getting her students excited about journalism, but stymies that excitement by giving way too much homework. It's not always difficult, but it's just annoying. I don't understand how she can take all this time out of her life to grade all this pointless homework. You will learn a lot in her class, but be prepared to work for it.

This class is not an intro class! She expects that coming into the class you know how to use PhotoShop and Quark! She also flip-flopped on what she wanted for assignments. One day she'd tell you to do something than the next "no, change it to this," which 9 times out of 10 was what I had to start with. This was a bad class, and I hated going to it.

She is a huge DITZ. . . I love the speakers she bring is, but man is she boring. . . she's the reason as to why I'm chaning my Journalism Major, I'm now AG Ed. . . She would forget so much stuff sometimes I won'der if she even knows where her head is. LOL

I like Colleen personally and she really does know her stuff - but the way she teaches class is pretty bad (as has been well stated in previous comments). I also had the misfortune of getting her assigned as my advisor. She's a HUGE ditz, and trying to figure my classes out with her drives me crazy. I've had sessions where I've had to remind her of things that we'd talked about at least twice in previous sessions, not to mention through e-mail. Nothing seems to stick with her.

Yes you are the professor, and we are the students.... you don't have to remind us that everyday! She is the most condescending professors I've ever had!
