Overall if you are a respectful student and have an open mind you would like this professor and not have any problems. His class was one of my favorite class. Always discussions and tries to get to know everyone.

He is not willing to help his students! I asked him a question during his office hours and he told me that I would have to go to the writing center from now on!! He would not answer any more of my questions!

I had him for freshman english, and I thought he was a pretty good professor. I was able to pull of a B in his class, which is equivalent to an A in any other class because he, plain and simple, does not give A's. I went to every class, and really got involved in the discussions. He does play favorites, and he is kind of racist and sexist at times. But, I am a female, and I did disagree with him on plenty of points, but I was able to back myself up, and he could respect that. If you aren't a talker, and you would rather sit back, DO NOT TAKE him. But, if you are the type of person who hates just sitting back and you want to be able to talk, you will do fine in his class. He does grade really hard, but after the first essay you will find out what kind of style he likes, and if you write like that, you will do a lot better. I swear he grades more on your style of writing rather than content. Tough Professor, don't go out of your way to take him, but he's not as bad as everyone is saying!!!
