Thomas Barnett

All I can say is that he doesn't know what he's talking about. ever. The only people he makes time to help are pretty girls because he likes looking down their shirts. Some of his applied students get a total of 5 lessons a semester when they pay for about 14 lessons a semester. He's gone constantly and he's creepy.

This is a definitely a hard class but I think Dr Barnett does a great job including every student in his lectures. I like his sense of humor (most of the time) and like the extra time he takes so we know the material. Sometimes he gives goofy analagies, but I think they help me learn the material. If you take his class, definitely come prepared or you will be lost - Don't get behind on homeworks. His tests can be difficult, but nothing that he did not cover in class. Down to earth teacher.

the only thing is... if I didn't have to keep going with Music Theory 3 and 4, I'd be fine. He's an okay guy, and I thought his class was fine, but it didn't prepare me for the next two. I say if you're going to take theory, take from Roy for 1 and 2. You'll be better off.

professor Barnett is easily distracted in class and seems lost most of the time. its obvious he doesnt want to be there.

People say they don't really like him... but I don't mind. I can understand what he's saying and he involves us all in the lectures. It works. He's not a bad guy at all, not a bad teacher either. Makes mistakes every now and then, but I can follow and work accordingly. He does fine.
