Wes Chapin

Go to class, pay attention, take notes, and read the readings and you will do fine.

Wes seems like a nice enough guy outside of class, but as far as his classes go I've taken two and would recommend avoiding his classes at all costs. His instructions are vague to say the least, while his expcetations are insanely specific. He gives you no real help until you have turned in the assignment and its too late. He is super anal about stupid little details, and seems to take pride in "challenging" the class. Half of my current class is taking it for the second or third time, yet he doesn't seem to think this reflects poorly upon him. He is also very much a politician- very arrogent and dances around any questions you have, without ever answering them. Do yourself a favor and avoid this guy.

As long as you know "There are winners and there are losers" you have learned all you can learn from this class. This is the first class in my four years at college that I almost failed. But it wasn't because I wasn't doing the work, it was because Chapin didn't offer the kind of help he should have for his students. I am not the only one that feels this way.

Wes is very smart, knows it and is not afraid to show it. I'm a senior with a 3.8 GPA and struggled to get an A-. He is VERY unclear about material that will be covered on tests or how to do assignments. If your opinion doesn't agree with his on assignments, your grade will suffer.
