Alexander Muk

I really don't know why the University even hired Muk in the first place. He does know alot about the advertsing business because he was in it for 20 years, but he expects students to know everything already. I don't think he understands the term "Introductory class." He has you take at lest 6 pages of notes every day in his lecture and then the tests aren't even based on the lecture, they are all based on the book. But then again it is all "common sense" stuff. I think I got 3 D's a C and a B on the five tests but ended up with a B in the class. I think he started getting worried in the end that he was going to get fired because over 1/2 of his students were almost failing so he bumped everyone's grade up. Take anyone else if you can.

he is by far the worst professor I have ever had. I have his class at 8 in the morning and I could get there 30 mins. late and he still won't have the projector working. For real man!! All you have to do is push a button. He makes the class way too hard for a foundations course and his group project is unclear and stupid. Don't take him if you can help it!

Okay its not really that the class is overly hard, his "tests" he says are common sense but only worth like 10 points so they are really kinda pointless, but mostly he disagrees and puts down all of your ideas...if you though you had even a little bit of creativity he will make you feel like you completely suck and never should have tried...he teaches you nothing about actual layout or copywrite just typical stuff from beginning ad and pr classes that had nothing to do with the class...if you have to take this class have fun he made me want to rip my hair out!

This class wouldn't be so bad if we actually knew what we were supposed to study for the exams and do for the final project. I know he's trying to make the class fun and interresting, but try harder!!! His tests are confusing, and yes, you have to study everything to know you covered your ass!

Muk isn't that bad of a teacher.. but he doesn't explain himself at all! When it comes to tests he says that he'll make them easy and that they are common sense-they are only common sense to him because he has been in the industry for 20 years! Just study your ass off and you'll do fine-his grading is way to hard for an intro class. GOOD LUCK!
