Definitely one of the top professors at Whitewater. Extremely interesting and fun to be in class with, a good amount of reading and writing involved but if you're interested in that stuff this is the class for you, take Townsend, you will not regret it!

Townsend is a really cheerful, full of energy kind of teacher which makes her appear as easy going and an easy grader. In her womens studies class, be prepared to read a memoir of average size every week, and then write about it as well. Don't take this class if you expect to fly through it without having to work, or write a lot.

Townsend is... ok. She made it known one of the first days of class that she barely EVER gives out "A's" on big assignments (such as essays). So if you've eased your way through English in the past by creatively bullshitting, she WILL catch you... (I was one of those people myself) However she invokes intriguing discussion and is very interested on hearing your opinions. Overall she's a good professor. I would recommend her if your looking for an interesting class, rather than a snooze cruise.

She is the BEST professor! I picked her through www.myprofessorsucks.com. The ratings don't lie. She is awesome. I'm taking her next semester for English 102. Take her!

She definitely is there for any help you ever need. She's very understanding and easy to talk to. Definitely take her! There's a lot of writing..but come on..it's Enligsh.
