Graphic
Professors: Respond to evaluations by creating an account
Amy Arntson is one of the most underrated professor at UW-W. I'm shocked to find I am the first person to evaluate her! She comes off at first as a bit "weird" (art professors are required to be weird, a lack of weirdness can get them fired :) )not off the wall by any means, as she is very quiet.. but I had a feeling she'd be a toughie at first. I couldn't have been more wrong. Amy is one of the most laid back people I have ever met. She understands that graphic design 1 is a beginning course and most students have no clue what they're doing at first. Her assignments are fun and manageable. She will give you advice on how to better your work, but never forces you to take it, although most of the time, her advice is very valuable. It's not a "my way or the highway" learning environment like it is with Sue Messer. Overall, I think Amy is a laid back former hippie who knows her stuff, loves her profession and wrote a wonderful textbook, which we used for the class. She may seem serious and hard to crack... but it's more than possible to make her smile. I love Amy!
