I would say Garvin is def one of the better teachers I have had when it comes to helping students and creating a fun and productive atmosphere. Ann is a funny professor who likes her students to interact and keep up with the class. As long as you come to class and are prepared to talk and have some fun it will be a breeze. Although, I found her classes to be easy, I learned a lot from her and still use a lot of the information. I would def take her again for any class. She is an awesome person that loves teaching and likes to have fun. The best thing about her is that she relates to her students and sometimes comes off as she is in college. To sum it all up, if you like classes that keep your attention and classes you look forward to then take her class.

I love Garvins style of teaching! Sure someone said that he/she was unclear about note taking because she more so "chit chats" but that is how I feel I learned the best! I sometimes have anxiety going to class and having some days where everything wasn't on a set schedule of lecture/note taking (which most days were def not) helped with feeling welcomed into the classroom. She was so willing to help me in every aspect of the classroom and even when some personal issues came up. She is great! I never realized how great she was until this semester she is on a break and I don't have her as a prof. at all and I feel like something is missing. It's like that morning cup of joe in the morning..... theres no more MWF Garvin... kindda sad :( She'll be back thou and I DEF. hope EVERYONE has a chance to take a class or two by her! Just listening to her will motivate you to be a happier, healthier, less stressful person!

Ann is great, if you get the chance to take one of her classes do it! Her classes arent the easiest but you learn so many important things. She really cares about her students and is willing to help anybody who needs it. Her classes are usually MWF mornings which sucks but they are totally worth taking!

She is amazing!! I have her class Monday, Wednesday, Friday and I am always there because I enjoy her classes that much!! She is funny, entertaining, and you learn a lot!!! If I were you I would take her classes!!

BEST PROFESSOR I've had...I rearranged my whole schedule for the upcoming semester so I could take two more of the classes she taught. I learned so much in both of her classes 'stress managment' and 'nutrition for wellness' dr. garvin has definately found her calling in teaching!
